Join the NNL Summer Reading Challenge!

Unearth A Story: May 27th — July 24th, 2026

The Navajo Nation Library's 2026 Summer Reading Challenge ENDS Friday, July 24, 2026, we will announce top readers in different age groups:

  • Adults (18+)
  • Teens (13-17)
  • Children (6-12)
  • Early Childhood (0-5)

Our SRC is open to all Diné citizens to participate on the Navajo Nation: https://navajonationlibrary.beanstack.com/ and have until the 24th to register for the program. Please log any minutes read between May 27th - July 24th, 2026. And please spend all digital raffle tickets earned.

NNL Author Reading & Visit: Andrew Curley, PhD

Join us as we welcome Dr. Andrew Curley to the Navajo Nation Library! Dr. Curley will be reading from his latest book: “Carbon Sovereignty: Coal, Development, Energy Transition in the Navajo Nation”. 

Carbon Sovereignty examines the impacts of coal’s legacy and the the complicated shift into non-coal development. Dr. Curley is an Associate Professor at the University of Arizona.
