Mission Statement
The mission of the Torreon Library is to serve the Tribal community as a source for knowledge, learning, and leisure. Library programs and services are available and provided for equitably and in a friendly, responsive, comfortable, and accessible atmosphere. The Torreon Library hold paramount every person’s right to information and resources.
TCL Collection
The collection of Torreon Library includes materials in print and electronic formats selected for its community of users including Navajo and non-Tribal patrons.
In response to advances to technology and the changing information needs of the community, the library also offers access to the Internet, which is governed by the library’s Internet Use Policy.
The library uses other available avenues – interlibrary loan, appropriate referral, or redirection – to serve the individual whose needs are either outside the scope of the library’s collection or are remote from the acknowledged collective needs of the community the library primarily serves.
