Event date: 6/6/2023 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Export event Navajo Nation Library / Thursday, May 18, 2023 / Categories: Navajo Nation Library, NNL Events, Announcements Navajo Weaving Traditions Workshop June and July Sessions Join us as Isabel Deschinny, Diné Master Weaver, and Lyle Harvey, Diné Traditional Practitioner will both share their insights into Diné weaving culture, how to warp the loom, share traditional stories and histories, and assist participants in weaving their first rug! We encourage absolute beginners to sign-up and learn! Dates: First Summer Session: June 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, and 27 - 29 Second Summer Session: July 5-7, 11-13, 18-20, and 25-27 Time: 9 am - 4 pm Where: Main Library, Navajo Nation Library — Hwy 264 and Postal Loop Road, Window Rock, AZ 86515 Looms, tools, and materials will be provided. The workshop is limited to 10 participants per session. If selected, participants will NOT pay any fees. The Workshop is an IN-PERSON only. Apply here! Applicants will be notified by May 26, 2023.
