Reading Scavenger Hunt

You can register at the Main Library in Window Rock, AZ, or online! Awards will be presented at the end of the event. Search for your child's book of choice together or independently if an independent reader of a weekly topic.

Rules:

  1. Registering at the Navajo Nation Library in Window Rock, AZ, or apply online

  2. Apply for a FREE Library Membership Card at the Navajo Nation Library (we service the Navajo Nation - you can register with a State I.D. and postmarked mail within the last 30 days that verifies your mailing address)

  3. Search for your child's book of choice together or independently (if an independent reader) of a weekly topic. You can read from the library or from home to acquire points.

  4. Checking out books - they MUST be checked out from the Navajo Nation Library to gain points.

  5. Send or tag us in your videos or photos in Facebook and Instagram stories or posts (@NavajoNationLibrary)! Make sure that the Navajo Nation Library Stamp on the book is visible to be awarded points. Remember, creativity counts!

  6. Read with your child or family! More points will be awarded if we are sent a video of you and your child or your family reading together.

  7. Reading in the library (Masks are required)

  8. The number of books you finish reading

  9. Writing on a scrap of paper your thoughts on the books, favorite characters, favorite quotes, or how you relate to the book, PLUS, an encouraging statement for the next reader who checks out the book. This can be written and left inside the book upon return.

  10. Attend any events posted on Facebook or Instagram related to the Scavenger Hunt.

  11. Awards will be presented at the end of the event!
